The 2008 Pennsylvania Young Professionals ImPAct Conference is quickly approaching. As regional host committee, yep! is in the process of developing exciting sessions and events for local and statewide attendees. Our goal is to develop a conference that promotes the Erie region while providing information on how young professionals can Get Active and Make an ImPAct in their community.

The walk is at Fairview High School beginning on Friday, July 25th, at 6pm and ends at noon on Saturday. The goal is to have at least one person from our team walking at all times during the walk.

Our team can have up to 15 participants, and each member should plan on raising at least $100.

Time
Every Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m. Tee times will be created and different flights will be developed to accommodate early and late golfers.

Season Length
Seventeen Weeks – First week will be May 6th with an anticipated ending date of August 26th.

Cost
$225.00 for yep! Members
$240.00 for non-yep! Members

Dues can be paid in full or in two payments. The first payment will be due at the start of the league and second payment will be due at week eight.

Team Size
Four Person Team – Men and Women – Handicaps will be calculated for each golfer after week one that will adjust throughout the season.

The trip includes transportation, beverages on the bus, lift tickets, and an after-party with food at Calamari’s Squid Row.

Schedule

7:30am- Coach will arrive for loading at the corner of 14th and State Street
8:00am- Depart Erie
10:00am- Arrive Holiday Valley and unload
10:30am- Non-skiers will be taken to Ellicottville
3:30pm- Load coach for return to Erie
4:00pm- Depart Holiday Valley and pick-up non-skiers in Ellicottville
6:00pm- Arrive Erie / After-party at Calamari’s

Don’t ski or snowboard?

Don’t worry! The coach will make a stop in Ellicottville to drop-off anyone who would like to shop at the many boutique shops, stroll around town, or have a bite at the famous Ellicottville Brewery. And for those on the adventurous side – try snow tubing at Holiday Valley’s new tubing park! Free shuttle service is available from Holiday Valley to the park. The cost of tubing is not included in the yep package and the tubing park opens at Noon.

Cost

The cost will be $75 for yep! members and $80 for non-members. If you aren't skiing or snowboarding the cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Ski rental is $22 and snowboard rental is $28. Snow tubing is $12 for two hours or $14 for three hours.

NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) of Erie County is committed to empowering individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness to a productive life. The organization is also committed to fostering personal growth and development in family members and friends of an individual diagnosed with serious mnetal illness.

In the execution of this mission, NAMI of Erie County will provide education, advocacy, support, and referrals to these individuals. These services will maintian a climate of confidentiality and respect for the dignity of all who are served by this organization.

NAMI is seeking persons for their governing board, specifically individuals with backgrounds in law, finance, business, public relations, marketing, accounting, and organizational leadership and development.

The spring training course begins January 29th with classes offered on Tuesday evenings. Erie Ambassadors are actively involved as volunteers in the community for three years after graduation. Continuing education is also offered to Ambassadors each year, including tours of other Erie County communities and updates on important civic developments. The cost of the Ambassador training is $125, covering all materials and transportation, and space is limited.
