Jane Horetsky is a dedicated individual who has determination and drive for excellence on both a personal and professional level. By day, she is committed to assisting small business owners at Gannon University’s Small Business Development Center, helping clients achieve their marketing goals. By night, Horetsky is a devoted to her family and community involvement in organizations including the Erie Advertising Club. She is also excited to start pursuing her graduate degree, a Master’s of Public Administration, at Gannon University. She looks forward continuing her education by learning “leadership skills that will be invaluable to me on many different levels.”

Horetsky’s continuous commitment to excellence is evident in her local and national accomplishments. When Horetsky served as volunteer coordinator for a Clearfield, Pa. agency, she received national recognition in USA WEEKEND magazine for converting a gun shop into a teen youth center during “Make a Difference Day.” Horetsky’s persistence and hard work has truly made a difference in the lives of young people, due to the fact that she took the time and effort to rally local church youth groups, school clubs and others in the Clearfield community to join together to create a safe haven for teens in a rural environment.

On a local level, Horetsky has been dedicated to helping the Erie Advertising Club for the past five years by serving as an active member, including 3 years as part of the board of directors. She enjoys attending seminars that enable her to enhance her professional skills through networking and establishing one-on-one relationships with others in her profession. Other accomplishments include Horetsky’s dedication to her membership in the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), her participation in the Erie Area Safe Kids Coalition, and her help in organizing National Poison Safety Week events. She is also proud of her involvement with the ATHENAPowerLink program, for which she acts as the facilitator, coordinator and contact for the community, serving alongside a 10-member panel consisting of Erie business leaders.

Horetsky’s professional accomplishments make her a great role model for the community and for her family. Horetsky is married to her husband, George, and has two daughters, Emma, who celebrated her fourth birthday on March 20, and Becca, age nine. Horetsky enjoys watching Emma and Becca develop a sisterly bond, while they play all sorts of fun games together.

Horetsky’s caring for her family, community and professional projects are proof that she is truly worthy of a Generation-E Leadership Award. She says that winning a Gen-E Award is “a huge honor for me. I am being honored with a terrific group of professionals – it’s an incredible honor to be chosen among these people that I admire.”

Horetsky can be proud to share her local and national accomplishments with friends, family and her daughters for years to come.
